Show Luv to the Guvs Who Stood Up for Healthcare

  • Week of July 2, 2017

"While we certainly agree that reforms need to be made to our nation’s health care system, as Governors from both sides of the political aisle, we feel that true and lasting reforms are best approached by finding common ground in a bipartisan fashion.”

Seven bi-partisan governors wrote in their letter to Senators McConnell and Schumer. This week, all-of-us must thank the governors who spoke out against Trump(Don’t)Care, and to ask our own Governor to step up if they haven’t. It’s not easy to oppose a President who revels in punishing his enemies – like steering infrastructure funding to states whose governors stayed quiet or support the AHCA. We need to make sure these governors know we have their backs and ask them to have ours.

Here's how all-of-us can show some Guv Luv:

  1. Read about how bi-partistan governors are stepping up around the country and why it matters here. (5 minutes).
  2. No matter what state you are in, call Governor McAuliffe (Virginia) and Governor Baker (Massachusetts) who lead the National Governors Association (NGA) and thank them for their letter to Senator McConnell insisting states have more time to review the impact of the bill.
  3. Call your Governor. Find contact information, your Governor’s position and a script below:
