Don’t Fall for Trump’s Bogus PR Stunt

  • Week of February 4, 2018
Don’t be duped, Devin Nunes’ now-public “memo” is a fake scandal designed to obstruct justice and is a blatant backdoor attack to discredit Robert Mueller’s investigation as it gets closer to Donald Trump. It attempts to paint a target on current and former FBI and Department of Justice officials, including Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is currently supervising Mueller’s investigation.

Those who have seen both the memo and the underlying intelligence confirm that it gets basic facts wrong, cherry-picks information, and leaves out key details. In fact, the Nunes memo is so shoddy that Republicans blocked the simultaneous release of the Democrats’ minority report that refutes their memo line by line based on (f)actual intelligence. When Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee were individually asked by media whether they can confirm the veracity of the memo, virtually all refused.

What’s even crazier? The White House won’t even deny that they colluded with Nunes on the memo, and Trump admitted the memo is about discrediting the Mueller investigation — it is certainly not about transparency.

All-of-us must stop Trump’s PR stunt from discrediting the Mueller investigation and shielding Trump from accountability.

Here’s how:

1 Check out this helpful explainer from Indivisible, and call your members of congress using the call scripts at the bottom of the document.

2 Demand that Nunes immediately be removed from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Sign the petition here.
