Two weeks ago Mike Pence gave the keynote address at the NRA-Institute for Legislative Action's leadership forum. No one was allowed to bring guns or weapons of any kind into the convention while the Vice President was speaking.
Meanwhile, the NRA’s puppets continue to try to make us believe that putting more guns in schools will make our kids safer. If we truly want #notonemore all-of-us need to make sure that not one more politician who is bought by the NRA is elected into any office.
Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, issued a statement on Friday reacting to the tragic shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas. She said:
“I will not stand for this and neither should you. Kids should not be terrified to learn in our schools. Parents should not have to hug their children in the morning and worry about whether they’ll see them at the end of the day. We don’t have to live in a country where the politicians let this happen again and again and again. […] Congress must find the courage to pass the effective laws that can protect our children and stop dangerous people from accessing guns. And if this Congress won’t protect our kids and communities from gun violence, this November we will vote in a Congress that will.”
All-of-us need to stand with Gabby Giffords and support candidates who will fight for safer gun laws.
