Stop Trump from Separating Kids and Parents at the Border

  • Week of June 17, 2018

Trump didn’t get his border wall, but that hasn’t stopped him from building walls between children and their parents. And what’s worse, is that he is holding these children hostage in hopes of using them as a negotiation tool to force the Democrats to fund his border wall.

Over the past six weeks, Trump’s policy on immigration has forcibly and cruelly separated almost 2,000 children from their parents, and many remain locked in under-resourced and overcrowded shelters. Separating kids from their parents under any circumstance is immoral and unAmerican. The loose Bannon (Steve), and GOP hardliners support Trump’s “zero-tolerance” policy, which is why all-of-us must strengthen our “zero-tolerance” policy for hate.

Here’s how:

1 Call your Senators and ask them to support Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Keep Families Together Act (  S. 3036.

Use this script:

I am calling to ask Senator [________] to support Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Keep Families together Act (S. 3036). The practice of separating families as a deterrent for immigration into our country is immoral and unconscionable. If Senator [________] refuses to do so, I will use everything in my power to vote him/her out.

2 Donate to The Florence Project, a non-profit legal service organization that provides free legal and social services to detained adults and unaccompanied children facing immigration removal proceedings in Arizona.
