Stop the Loose Bannon

Steve Bannon is Donald Trump’s Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor. In his first interview on January 26th, Bannon said that the media should “keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while." Of course he did--squashing dissent is Authoritarianism 101. 

Bannon has been described as “the most dangerous political operative in America." He apparently agrees because he compared himself to Darth Vader last week!
We know he wants to silence us, but we are getting louder because Wall-of-Us is growing by thousands per day. And Bannon will hear us this week. How? Well, Wall-of-Us decided to partner with with Sleeping Giants on a targeted campaign to strip Breitbart of its ad dollars. Over the past ten weeks, Sleeping Giants has weakened Breitbart by stopping their ad dollars from 764 companies! Here is a running list. Let’s make that number skyrocket this week. And let’s tell them why we are doing this. After all, in the end, Darth lost. And these giants are now wide awake. 

Tip: Sleeping Giants wants us to focus on Amazon and AT&T; no word from these Breitbart advertisers yet.
Here is how:

There are two options. For both options tag @slpng_giants and use these hashtags #LooseBannon #WallofUs

Option A: Go to AdStrike and click on their templates to call out brands one by one, or sign up for Buffer, and AdStrike will literally do the work for you. The benefit of Option A is that you don't have to go to Breitbart's site at all. You can also go to go to Sleeping Giants twitter site and retweet/repost from there.

AdStrike doesn't yet have templates for all of the advertisers, which is why we are offering Option B.

Option B: [*this option will give you a wider reach, but it has its drawbacks because it gives Breitbart more clicks, so please weigh that.]

1. Go to (we know, eeew). If you can, open an "Incognito" window before you go onto the Breitbart site so that your search history isn't linked to Breitbart. 

2. Take a screenshot of an ad next to their content (double eeew).

3. Tweet the screenshot to the company with a polite note asking them to stop advertising.

Here is a sample tweet:
