Honor the Power of Women’s Anger

“Grab the broom of anger and drive off the beast of fear.” Zora Neale Hurston

"I hope that people walk away with the feeling of the Women's March, the #metoo movement, and a good old-fashioned bra burning, all rolled into one." Cristen Conger, Co-author & Founder of Unladylike

Okay, this one’s for my girls!  Women and girls, in particular, are taught to repress anger, but anger can be healthy and justified--and it’s sometimes necessary before true peace can exist. Rather than stuffing our feelings this holiday season, all-of-us must stuff our stockings with books that honor and celebrate the catalyzing role that women’s anger has played throughout history!

Here’s how:

1 Listen to this video featuring Good and Mad, The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger. And buy the book!

2 For those of us with daughters, read this story about how we can encourage our girls to express their anger.

3 Listen to Unladylike, a podcast that encourages us to “Stay Curious. Build Empathy. Raise Hell.” It’s also a book.

4 Add Rage Becomes Her to your holiday reading list, or buy one for your sister, daughter, or BFF.
