A year ago Greta Thunberg began leaving school each Friday to protest outside of the Swedish parliament with her “school strike for climate” sign. She striked alone, but she struck a chord with all-of-us. Last week, over 4 million people in over 150 countries stepped up to support Greta and young climate strikers in the Global Climate Strike, demanding real action on the climate crisis and an end to the age of fossil fuels. Greta Thunberg continues to boldly speak to world leaders at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York City, and we can’t let her stand alone. All-of-us must join Greta to save the planet for future generations.

Reach out to your local school district and ask about the climate science and climate justice curriculum. If you think it is weak, advocate for more! (*Remember, as we have said in the past, you don’t have to be a parent to advocate to your school district.)
