“He’s going to win again.”
Sound familiar? Yup, all-of-us have a little evil voice whispering those words in our ear. Let’s silence that voice by rewinding and reveling in our amazing recent successes, shall we?
On November 5th the blue wave decidedly waved goodbye to the GOP-controlled house and senate in Virginia. It’s the first time since 1994 that the house and senate has been blue (and that’s a long time ago, i.e. the year that I graduated from high school!).
But we didn’t stop in Virginia. We also took the Kentucky governor’s seat (like we said a few weeks ago, it’s Mitch hunting season).
We didn’t win in Mississippi -- but we’re sure fixin’ to in 2020 because we came within 5 points, closing the gap in a state that Trump took by over 30 points in 2016.
When we put in the work, we win. November 3, 2020 is less than a year away. All-of-us must gain strength by recognizing the promise of what we accomplished last week -- and then get back to work.
