Ask Your Senators to Convict

  • Week of December 11, 2019

The House of Representatives has completed the impeachment inquiry and drawn articles of impeachment (somebody pinch me), but it’s not quite time to crack out the champagne yet. That's of course because this is headed to the Senate and House Republicans are itching to go on the offense after enduring a devastating impeachment inquiry. Last week, Rep. Jim Banks urged Sen. Lindsay Graham, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, to obtain the phone records of Adam Schiff, former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, and the attorney for the whistleblower who brought the Ukraine scandal to light. They are out for blood and want to make a mockery of the process. But in a surprising turn, GOP leaders have so far made it clear they have no interest in turning the Senate impeachment trial into a drawn out spectacle. All-of-us must make sure it stays that way.

Here’s how:

Call your senators, particularly Republicans of course, and ask them to fulfill their constitutional duty to hold Trump accountable by voting to convict him.
