School the GOP by Getting the Youth Vote Out

  • Week of September 28, 2020

Many schools around the country are closed, thanks to Trump and the GOP’s failure to lead during the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s time for our students, teachers, and administrators to school the GOP by voting them out of office!

We’ve got good news--according to recent polls, voters between 18-35 overwhelmingly support Biden. This is consistent with the 2016 and 2012 elections, in which the youth favored Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama by large margins. But we’ve got bad news too-the youth are less consistent, reliable voters (#omg it’s sooooooooooo true!).

That’s why all-of-us must encourage our schools to help get the youth vote out.

Here’s how:

1 Watch this brief video with Michelle Obama (what’s not to love?)

2 Check out My School Votes.

3 If you are a parent, call your child’s school and ask them to join My School Votes by filling out this form.

4 If you are not a parent, call your local school district and/or your local schools and ask whether they have joined My School Votes.

5 If you are an educator, text “TEACH” to 21333.
